The government delegate in Galicia, José Miñones, today highlighted the usefulness of the Strategic Project for the Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) of the Social Economy and Government Care to create “a more inclusive labor market”. The delegate visited the special non-profit employment center of Hornos Lamastelle, a social initiative company of the bakery sector integrated in Cegasal (Galician Business Association of Special Non-Profit Employment Centers). During his visit, José Miñones recalled that the Government has different lines of support open for social entities within the Recovery Plan. In particular, it encouraged groups and SMEs to attend the Impulse Plan, for which the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy has the deadline open until this Tuesday, January 31.
“With the PERTE of the Social Economy of Care, this Government is promoting inclusive employment policies, taking advantage of the unique opportunity of the Recovery Plan,” said the delegate, and highlighted the solidarity approach of this strategic plan that strengthens partnerships between research centers, organizations, cooperatives and entities throughout the country that work in the Social Economy. The Government allocates 808 million euros to deploy the initiatives of this PERTE, which will improve the industrial and economic competitiveness of Social Economy companies.
José Miñones valued the “profound social impact” of Hornos Lamastelle and the other associated special employment centers in Cegasal, and praised the work of its members, “indispensable protagonists in achieving social justice and job inclusion for people with disabilities.” In that regard, he stressed that these “strategic pillars” now have more opportunities thanks to the Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. “Labor inclusion is the best guarantee of a fair recovery for a more inclusive and better society,” said the delegate.
“Through this PERTE of the Social Economy we are transforming the economic model of the country with a more inclusive and sustainable approach, to correct imbalances dragged from the past,” he concluded.
Comprehensive Plan to Boost the Social Economy
The Comprehensive Plan to Boost the Social Economy, framed in the PERTE of Social Economy, is endowed with 99.3 million euros in aid. Its objective is to grow and consolidate the inclusive and sustainable economic fabric represented by all companies in the social economy, from cooperatives to labor companies or insertion companies, special employment centers or foundations. For large companies, the aid is conditional on their effective collaboration with SMEs whose activity is the object of the aid, provided that the SMEs with which they collaborate assume a minimum of 30% of the total eligible costs.
Larger companies are eligible for 15% cofinancing, while SMEs are eligible for up to 50% of the cost of their project. The deadline for applications is open until this Tuesday 31st through the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.
