The government delegate in Galicia, José Miñones, assessed this morning in the Pazo de Mariñán the effort made by the Ministry of the Interior in recent years to “reinforce the templates and recover the lost time” and stressed that “Galicia is a safe community”. During the presentation of the new commissioners who join the Superior Police Headquarters of Galicia, the delegate has highlighted that “in the last four years we have gained 478 police officers in Galicia and that is synonymous with greater attention and greater security”.
José Miñones presided in Mariñán (Bergondo, A Coruña) the presentation of the new commissioners who join the Superior Police Headquarters of Galicia together with the Superior Police Chief of Galicia, Ramón Gómez Nieto. The sub-delegates and the sub-delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas; in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba; in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez; and in Ourense, Emilio González also participated.
The new officers who join the National Police in Galicia are:

At the Ourense Police Station: The provincial head of Operations of Ourense, Antonio Felipe Guzmán Moreno.

After the presentation, the delegate held a working meeting with the police in which they analyzed the data and reviewed working protocols to result in better attention to the citizens.
Reinforcement in command and in force
José Miñones stressed that these are key appointments that allow us to strengthen leadership positions in key cities. “We strengthen the force, but also the leadership, which is so important for the proper functioning of the Corps,” he said.
José Miñones insisted that “Galicia is a safe community”, as evidenced by its low level of crime and effectiveness in the response of the Police, with a high degree of case resolution. For this, he expressed his gratitude to the National Police and to each of the agents who serve in Galicia and highlighted the “dedication and commitment” of the Superior Chief. To all of them, he called for “an extra effort so that the Galicians and Galicians feel safe and protected” and recalled that “it is that security that gives us freedom to grow as a society”.
