The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today welcomed the new chief inspector of the Viveiro Police Station, María Begoña Caínzos Piñeiro, and asked her for the maximum commitment in the protection of citizens to maintain and improve the low crime rates in the Mariña region. During her visit to the subdelegate, María Begoña Caínzos was accompanied by the chief provincial commissioner, José María Esteban.
Isabel Rodríguez welcomed the arrival at the Viveiro Police Station of the chief inspection news and expressed her satisfaction that the command staff is strengthened with an experienced professional “to offer an effective service”. He also wished him the greatest successes at the head of the Viveirense Police Station “because they will have an impact on the safety and well-being of neighbours”.
The deputy delegate took the opportunity to highlight that María Begoña Caínzos becomes the first woman to officially assume the command of the National Police Station in Viveiro, replacing Inspector Jesús María Seco, who did a great job during the time he held responsibility.
Outstanding professional career
The new chief inspector is a native of A Coruña. He joined the National Police Force in 2005. She holds a degree in Law and Political Science, with a master’s degree in Public Security and Defence Policy, and was promoted to Chief Inspector in 2020. A
ntes of assuming the leadership of the Viveiro Police Station was destined, from 2020, at the Sant Adrià de Besòs Police Station, in Barcelona. Previously, he was part of the Superior Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands, in different investigation groups in central bodies of Madrid and Superior Police Headquarters of Galicia, until taking charge of a group of the Police Intervention Unit in Pamplona. His professional career was recognized on 3 occasions for police merit with a white badge, in addition to possessing more than 40 public congratulations for his work in important police services and operations.
