The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, has today inaugurated the XXVI Artisan and Livestock Fair of La Coronada, an event that celebrates the richness of local traditions and strengthens the vitality of rural life in the region. During his speech, Quintana stressed the importance of being close to the peoples and their people, affirming that their presence in this event is a manifestation of the Government’s commitment to the social and economic development of the rural world.
The government delegate stressed that the fair has become a reference in the livestock calendar, attracting professionals from the primary sector, artisans from other Spanish provinces, and the general public to enjoy the best of the land. “This fair is the best showcase for the agro-livestock sector, where the fruits of our work and dedication are proudly displayed. The exposure of sheep, horses and poultry is a clear example of this,” he said.
Quintana also emphasized the crucial role of fairs like this in a context where the rural world faces numerous challenges. “They are spaces for meeting, exchange and celebration. They are a platform to make visible the work of our farmers and artisans, who are true guardians of our cultural and economic heritage,” he said.
"Today, more than ever, we must support initiatives that promote the development of our territory, that strengthen our economy and, above all, keep alive the essence of what we are. Each of you, with your participation and dedication, helps La Coronada shine with its own light,” concluded Quintana, encouraging those present to enjoy the fair and value the work of artisans and livestock farmers.
