The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, attended this Saturday in Badajoz the event on the occasion of the celebration of the patron saint of the Civil Guard, where he highlighted the work carried out by his troops to guarantee the security conditions in the rural environment. “The extraordinary involvement of the men and women of the Civil Guard with Extremadura society. For the development of this service, the government delegate has referred to the recovery of personnel in its workforce in Extremadura, as well as the improvement in quartering, and the provision of resources to its agents through programs assumed with funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Internal Security Funds of the European Union. “Today we can be proud that since this Government assumed its responsibilities, at the end of 2018, in Extremadura we have 115 more real troops in the Civil Guard; and the squads are very close to reaching their full occupation, reaching 90%. And we will continue to increase the templates”, he said.
Finally, Quintana wanted to thank the Civil Guard that this year has decided to pay tribute also to the people of Extremadura, choosing our autonomous community as a place to celebrate their day. “These acts have shown the intimate relationship and admiration that has always existed between the Civil Guard and the people of Extremadura and Extremadura”.
