The deputy delegate of the Government in Cáceres, José Antonio García, accompanied by the director of the Penitentiary Center of Cáceres, Rosa Carrasco, and the mayor of the city, Rafael Mateos, has presided today in the San Francisco Cultural Complex the act of La Merced Day, patron of Penitentiary Institutions.
The deputy delegate highlighted the effort made by the Government of Spain to recover vacant positions of employment and improve the conditions of the officials in the Penitentiary Centers.
In this regard, José Antonio García explained that the staff of the Penitentiary Center of Cáceres is 72% covered. “We are aware of the difficulties that exist with medical doctors and I assure you that we continue working to solve it. I also thank you for the organizational effort you are making to alleviate this lack of health personnel.”
During his speech, the subdelegate expressed thanks to the former director of the Center and also welcomed the new director of the Center and his team, mostly female. “This is a clear sign that, as in other areas of society, the role of women is increasingly relevant,” said José Antonio García.
During his speech, the subdelegate recalled that this Center was elected at the national level to celebrate Open Administration Week, for which he congratulated all the officials for their dedication and for the excellent work they carried out during that week.
The event has recognized the work of four of its officials for 25 years, as well as four honorable mentions, as well as two medals, one silver and one bronze.
