The Government delegation in Extremadura and the Government subdelegation in Cáceres, are celebrating between March 20 and 24, a series of activities within the framework of Open Administration Week. The objective of the same, is to bring Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
The government delegate in Extremadura, Francisco Mendoza, participated in the Open Day of the institution in Badajoz, the most important event of this week, in an activity that was directed to students.
The end of this day is that the students know the work of the public administration and that it can be one of the options as a professional exit. Also, at the end of the activity the students were able to obtain the digital certificate or the pin key.
The government delegate in Extremadura welcomed all the students present at this Open Day and reminded them that “citizens are always the first. That must be and is the main objective of the rulers.”
Likewise, Francisco Mendoza, said that “transparency, participation and collaboration are, as you know, the basic principles of a horizontal administration model such as that intended by open administration, giving citizens the possibility to intervene in the development of it by having gone from passive subjects to be proactive within the framework of a system that aims to favor the relationship between those who govern and are governed”.
Other activities
Another of the events organized by the Government delegation in Extremadura is to visit and learn about the functions carried out in the Office of the Geographical Institute in Badajoz, as well as know the work they do.
