The delegate of the Government, Pilar Bernabé, has presented together with the Superior Chief of Police of the Valencian Community, Carlos Gajero, and the Mayor of Paterna, José Antonio Sagredo, the Mobile Documentation Units (VIDOC) of the National Police that will provide their services in the province of Valencia. These vehicles, according to Bernabé, “are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the issuance of DNIs and represent an initiative to bring the administration closer to the citizens while facilitating the procedures.”
As the delegate recalled, six VIDOC units “have been doing a very great job” in the populations most affected by the dana. In particular, -said Bernabé- 10,000 DNIs have been issued from people who had lost it. “This expedition has been completely free for all the people who had lost their documentation that is also necessary for the processing of aid,” he added.
These six vehicles will remain in the Comunitat Valenciana (two, in the province of València; three, in Alicante and one, in Castellón) in order to “expedite the issuance of documentation in different population centers that lack police facilities”. In this sense, “a calendar will be established in coordination with the municipalities to be able to notify the neighbors with sufficient time to be able to carry out the documentation work”. The VIDOCs will work from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
