· The Government has paid the workers in ERTE of the more 2,800 companies hosted, almost 24 million euros

The Delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has held a meeting with the Director General of the SEPE, Gerardo Gutiérrez and the Commissioner of the Government for Reconstruction, José María Ángel, with the working group for reconstruction in the field of employment, of which representatives of the UGT, CCOO, the CEV and the Horta Sud Foundation are part. Together with this working group, the Delegation has also consolidated two others to inform, channel and monitor the Government’s aid and plans to industrial estates and small businesses in coordination with those affected.
Bernabé has claimed “the effort” of the Government in the field of employment by deploying the RTAs of greater cause and the social shield to guarantee it. Thus, he pointed out that, for the Central Executive, “the economic and social reconstruction of the province of Valencia is a priority.” Therefore, “in less than a month” the Government of Spain has mobilized, in three royal decrees, more than 16.6 billion euros for the citizens affected and also for large and small companies.
With regard to employment, the delegate stressed that nearly 26,000 working people affected by the damage are covered by the RTAs, to which almost 24 million euros have been paid. The total number of companies is 2,862. To this are added the almost 8 million euros in quotations, as he added.
Bernabé has also reviewed the plan endowed with 50 million euros, from the SEPE for the damaged municipalities with the aim of giving employment to some 8,000 working people who the incidence of the damage has made it impossible for them to carry out their work and who will strengthen the reconstruction efforts.
The delegate pointed out that the Government “will continue to work during the coming weeks and months, as long as necessary, to continue assessing the consequences of the damage, but, above all, the way out of this situation and the improvement, if possible, of the situation before the damage”.
