The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, visited this morning Catarroja and Siete Aguas, two municipalities affected by the dana in the province of Valencia.
In Catarroja, where the delegate has been accompanied by the mayor. Lorena Silvent, members of the UME and the Army continue to work on cleaning and extracting sludge in four garages. In addition, work is being completed on the parking lot of the Plaza Mayor, which is expected to be completed during the day. Bernabé recalled “the commitment of the Government of Spain to Valencia, where it has deployed 8,304 Armed Forces personnel in the province of Valencia, of which 2,103 belong to the UME. Women and men who work tirelessly to advance recovery after the dana.”
In Siete Aguas, delegate Pilar Bernabé and the mayor of the town, Teresa Hernández, visited areas damaged by the flood, such as the ravine in the urban center, the road of the Cerro Avenue, as well as different green areas, the municipal sports center and the recreation area. Bernabé stressed that “the Government of Spain is already working on the relevant items that are going to be destined for the repair, restitution or reconstruction of the infrastructures and equipment of Siete Aguas that have been affected by the dana”.
