The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, assures that “the Government of Spain remains focused on the recovery of the province of Valencia and on the aid that those affected need more than ever. That is why, just today, it has transferred, in just one morning, 144 million euros destined for the self-employed and SMEs of our Comunitat, through direct aid that will not have to be returned and that does not lend itself to hoaxes”.
On the one hand, this direct aid from the Tax Agency will reach more than 15,000 companies and self-employed workers affected by DANA. There are already 6,388 companies that will receive 98.5 million euros, ranging from 10,000 to 150,000 euros according to turnover. In addition, 9,075 freelancers will receive 45.4 million euros in a direct payment of 5,000 euros.
On the first day eligible for payment, 72% of the registered applications for this direct aid have been paid, which can be requested until December 31 through the website of the Tax Agency. These direct aids are exempt from taxation in the Personal Income Tax and Corporate Tax.
On the other hand, also from today, interested dealers can join the program of aid to the purchase of vehicles for citizens affected by the DANA, called Plan Restart Auto+. The Government of Spain allocates 465 million euros so that all citizens who need to buy a vehicle, after having lost theirs, can receive direct aid of up to 10,000 euros that they will not have to return.
An amount that, the delegate recalled, “may be added to the compensation that is already being paid by the Insurance Compensation Consortium because they are fully compatible”.
The aid will take the form of a non-refundable subsidy. In the case of natural persons, if they accredit more than one ownership in the DGT of insured injured vehicles, they will be eligible for a maximum of two subsidies. In the case of legal persons, a maximum of 5.
Bernabé highlights “the importance of direct aid starting to reach SMEs and the self-employed” and reports that “the Insurance Consortium has already paid 106 million and another 30 million in advances have been transferred”. The delegate of the Government maintains that "the Government of Spain has mobilized 10 billion euros in direct aid and continues to work against lies".
