· The delegate highlights the need to formalize a general protocol of action in pharmacies to enhance the early detection of male violence
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, held a meeting this morning with the president of the Official College of Pharmacists of Valencia (MICOF), Jaime Giner, to promote collaboration between both institutions and enhance the early detection of gender violence from pharmacies.
Bernabé pointed out that the MICOF “has a deep commitment in this crucial fight against male violence. And, after this contact, we will work together and in a coordinated way so that the pharmacies of the province of Valencia, and in general those of the Valencian Community, are violet points.”
In this regard, he explained that “it is necessary to formalize a general protocol of action, within the framework of collaboration between this Delegation of the Government and the Valencian Schools of Pharmacists and Pharmacists. A protocol that we will develop and in which the three Subdelegations of the Government of the Comunitat will also participate.”
“Pharmacies are one of the most recognized entities by citizens. With the addition that in rural areas they play a fundamental role as a public service, of care for the people who live in our municipalities more distant from the most populous nuclei.”
The delegate of the Government also recalled the importance of “civil society being involved, and that each of us and each of us exercise a violet point to protect women from a situation of danger.”
Finally, he insisted on the “transcendental role of society in requiring all administrations to coordinate and work as a real pact of State, of all, against this male and female terrorism that kills women for the mere fact of being so.”
