One of the firm and unequivocal commitments of the Government to build a more just and egalitarian society is to eradicate male violence in any of its forms, since it is a structural problem that requires a firm commitment from all administrations and from the whole society.
In accordance with what was agreed in the renewal of the State Pact 2024, violence against women will be addressed "with a broad gaze", opening up to other types of violence that are exercised on women, whether or not they have to do with their partner or former partner, such as sexual violence, cyberviolence, obstetric violence or others. Therefore, the Government Delegation in Ceuta, through the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, will proceed to install Violet Points in its different Areas and Addresses that have more users.
The installation of the same in public institutions of our City, is one more way to point out that this is not only a problem of women, but has a structural origin that requires the involvement of the whole of society.
To this end, a training course will be provided for the officials who serve in SEPE, IMSERSO, INGESA, MUFACE, INSS, TGSS, Alienería and the Government Delegation itself, with the idea that, through the Violeta Point, they can identify possible victims and make known the services of attention and help in relation to male violence, in any of its manifestations.
This initiative is part of the catalogue of urgent measures of the Improvement and Modernization Plan promoted by different ministries of the Government of Spain, and represents a change of focus in public policies of care for victims, taking decisive steps to make visible and involve the whole of society in the fight against gender violence, also bringing comprehensive services closer to victims through their environment, thus providing all information on how to act in a case of violence against women to establishments, entities, companies and public agencies.
In short, it is a question of making available to the civil service tools that allow comprehensive attention in the public space:
1. Violeta Point Guide to Responding to Gender Violence: A guide with information on how to respond to a case of gender violence in your environment, as well as resources for the victims themselves.
2. Materials for establishments, entities, companies, public bodies: posters and stickers with a QR code linked to the Violeta Point Guide, which aim to point out that this space is a safe place for victims, where they can receive information and accompaniment if they need it.
3. Badges to identify people involved in the fight against gender violence: anyone who uses it will represent “a gateway” for women victims, to the resources they may need.
The training will take place on April 29 and 30 from 9:00 to 14:00 hours at the Center for Orientation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Employment located in Avenida Nuestra Señora de Otero, s/n.
