The Government Delegation of Castilla y León celebrates the Week of Open Administration
This year 2025, from 19 to 25 May, Open Administration Week is celebrated.
The Government Delegation of Castilla y León is celebrating the week of open administration these days, specifically from 19 to 25 May. This week it aims to bring Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
In Castilla y León 370 events scheduled
During these seven days different types of events are planned such as: debates, colloquiums, open days, guided tours, competitions launch virtual content (website, applications, etc.) Round tables, consultations, seminars, workshops, etc. … in the various bodies attached to the General State Administration. In Castilla y León, 370 activities have been organized throughout the nine provinces.
As every year the Government through the Transparency Portal organizes an Open Administration week that in this year 2025 has more than 3500 actions planned throughout the country. The Schedule of all the events available to the citizen are collected on the web

Open Administration Week Background
Open Gov Week is an initiative promoted by the Open Gov Week worldwide that aims to disseminate its principles and practices shared by public administrations and citizens, based on the values of transparency and integrity, civic participation and promotion of fundamental rights, as well as accountability.
Spain has been a member of the Open Government Alliance since 2011, and since then has participated in the organization and celebration of six editions, in which it has revalidated its leadership among the member states of the Alliance in the organization of activities to promote the culture of open government. In Spain, Open Administration Week is coordinated and promoted by the General Directorate of Public Governance, with the collaboration of the Open Government Forum.
