The TandEM programme, which has been launched today by 16 young people between the ages of 16 and 29, is a vocational training and apprenticeship project that will enable them to acquire a wide range of skills, such as installation, maintenance, production and harvesting in a fruit farm. In addition, they will obtain training in the control of plant health, the management of machinery and the application of criteria of good agricultural practices and compliance with current regulations: environmental, quality control, food safety and prevention of occupational risks.
This training project has a duration of fifteen months and consists of two stages: the first is a three-month training stage, where students receive a scholarship of 9 euros per day, and in the second, of one year duration, training is combined with work and participants have a training contract of 75% of the minimum interprofessional salary.
This training of expert in fruit growing and plantation management has an important demand in the region. In this context, CIUDEN Vivero aims to train staff as a fruit grower and expert in the maintenance of fruit plantations, especially chestnut trees.
