Institutional relief in the National Police of Aranda de Duero
February 16, 2024.- The Government delegate in Castilla y León, Nicanor Sen, presided this Friday the inauguration of José Manuel del Barco as Chief Inspector of the National Police Station of Aranda de Duero, where he has confirmed that in an “imminent way” the new building of the National Police of Aranda de Duero will be operational and in full operation for the attention of the citizens.
A property of almost 300 square meters and attached to the offices of the Commissariat, which will exclusively house the processing of ID, passports, complaints and the Aliens’ démarches and which comes to confirm that the commitment of the Government of Spain with the National Police is “public and notorious”.
In this regard, Sen recalled the recent incorporation into the mobile park of the National Police of Castilla y León of 192 new vehicles, of which 23 have been destined to the province of Burgos, three of them - two uniformed and one camouflaged - to the Aranda de Duero Police Station.
To this is added the incorporation of the first two drones, keys in the police work in events of the depth of the Sonorama festival that in the last edition exceeded 150,000 attendees. “The commitment of this Government is to improve the resources of the National Police within the permanent commitment to strengthen security and the provision of service to citizens,” said Sen.
TAKING POSSESSION
Sen wanted to highlight the value of José Manuel del Barco, after a professional career of more than 26 years in the National Police, which has earned him numerous decorations, “faithful reflection of your involvement and dedication to police service and citizenship.”
An event in which he was accompanied by the Subdelegate of the Government in Burgos, Pedro de la Fuente, the Superior Chief of Police of Castilla y León, Juan Carlos Hernández, and the Chief Commissioner, Provincial Chief of Burgos, Jesús Nogales.
Sen had words of thanks for José Joaquín Gomá whose effort and tireless dedication at the head of the National Police of Aranda de Duero “are the best stimulus and example of service for the coming generations of police who join the active service.”
Recognition that he wanted to extend to all the staff of the National Police in Castilla y León who through their work contribute to Burgos and the whole of Castilla y León having a low crime rate, below the national average, in one of the “safest countries in the world”.
A success that, although it must not lead to relaxation, must be encouraged to continue working and achieve a further reduction in this crime rate “guaranteeing the safety of those who live in this city and in this province and that of all those who come to it to claim its rich natural, cultural and historical heritage.”
