November 6, 2023.- The Civil Guard of Segovia has incorporated 58 agents to its staff. The officers, among whom are seven sergeants, five officers and 46 guards, are incorporated to different destinations, such as Traffic, Citizen Security, Seprona or Judicial Police.
They are destined for the Segovia Command and the posts of Cantimpalos, Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, El Espinar, Martín Muñoz, Otero de Herreros, Villacastín, Riaza, Turégano, Cuéllar, Montejo de Arévalo and Carbonero.
The deputy delegate of the Government, Marian Rueda, has today received the agents in the Command of the Civil Guard, together with the lieutenant colonel, Benito Donate. In her speech, the subdelegate stressed that “these agents reinforce the staff of the Civil Guard in the province of Segovia, which will undoubtedly result in greater citizen security, as well as in the prevention and resolution of possible crimes.”
Marian Rueda indicated that “you have arrived in a province that has high levels of security, but not for that we can forget that our objective is to continue in that situation and improve as much as possible”.
In addition, the subdelegate stressed “the excellent work, effort, commitment and professionalism of the Civil Guard with the citizens, so that they can live in security and tranquility.”
“The Segovians who live in rural areas know that they always have their Civil Guard, their agents, guarantors of the rights and freedoms of citizens; they notice your closeness and presence,” he said.
The deputy delegate of the Government explained that “the three companies of the Civil Guard in the province are responsible for the security of the 208 Segovian municipalities, which extend for more than 6,700 kilometers and in which two thirds of the citizens live (about 101,000 people).”
“Your work is fundamental for a province like Segovia, with an aging population; essential for our neighbors to continue living and settle more, in a very depopulated area,” he added.
The agents, of which five are women, are mostly under 40 years old, and come from different parts of Spanish territory, such as Catalonia, Madrid, Valencia, Aragón, Extremadura, Rioja, Galicia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Castilla La Mancha, Andalusia and Cantabria.
They have a varied academic background, from Vocational Training to Higher Education Degrees.
