Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has met with the president of AVALTO, the Association of Victims of Occupational Accidents of Toledo, Manuel Prior.
The meeting, the first since José Pablo Sabrido is a government delegate in Castilla-La Mancha, has addressed various topics among which the problems of work accidents and how to fight to reduce that number can be highlighted.
In subsequent statements in a media attention after the minute of silence for the last fatal victim of male violence in Seseña, José Pablo Sabrido has urged employers to be “very rigorous in the prevention and execution of occupational health. And no compliance, in short, with the Law on the Prevention of Occupational Risks.”
Sabrido has already assured that he knows the effort that employers make in this regard, and has highlighted the fact that last year there were 48 fatal work accidents. “Nor is it acceptable for a worker to leave his house in the morning and die at work,” he said.
The meeting, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Day of Safety and Health at Work, has also served to inform AVALTO to the government delegate about the situation regarding occupational accidents in Toledo.
