Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido has attended this Friday the meeting of the Operational Coordination Centre (POPRC) held at the 112 headquarters in Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo, and chaired by the regional president, Emiliano García-Page, on the occasion of the monitoring of the weather situation before the arrival of La Borrasca Marta.
Although the current situation “is not worrying at the moment”, Sabrido has stressed that the emergency services and the administrations involved remain “on alert” to the evolution of the meteorological episode.
After the meeting, the government delegate wanted to publicly transfer his recognition and thanks to the men and women of the National Police and the Civil Guard, “who come guaranteeing security during these days, without rest, and providing magnificent assistance to the citizens”. He also extended this gratitude to “all the Civil Protection services, firefighters and local police”, highlighting the close coordination with the State Security Forces and Corps.
In this context, Sabrido has put the value of Coordination between local, regional and state administrations, highlighting the ongoing collaboration with the Government of Spain. During her speech, she reiterated a message of prudence to the citizens, urging them to remain “very attentive to the indications of Civil Protection and emergency services, because the important thing is to protect all lives and also property.”
The government delegate concluded by insisting on the need to maintain caution, since “although the situation is not excessively worrying at the moment, it may vary with the arrival of the new storm,” remembering that emergency services are prepared to offer “the greatest guarantee of security.”
Throughout the meeting, José Pablo Sabrido has been accompanied by the Head of Civil Protection, Nuria Cuevas, and by Director General of Citizen Protection, Emilio Puig.
