Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, presented this Monday in Toledo the guided tours "Women between the lines", organized by the Sephardic Museum on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the fundamental role of Sephardic women in culture and history through a special tour of the museum’s library. During the presentation, Milagros Tolón highlighted the commitment of the Sephardic Museum to the visibility and value of the role of women in history and, especially, in Sephardic culture.
“The work of this museum is essential to raise awareness of the great legacy of Sephardic culture from a gender perspective. I appreciate the efforts of its director, Carmen Álvarez, and the entire staff to continue expanding its cultural offer with activities that enrich the knowledge of our past,” said the Government delegate.
The Government delegate has reiterated the support of the Government of Spain for the work of dissemination, conservation and cultural knowledge carried out by the Sephardi Museum and the set of state museums. “The Government of Spain continues to work to ensure that our culture and history are accessible, inclusive and reflect the diversity of the voices that have contributed to building them,” said Milagros Tolón.
