Drinking water supply
In total, as Milagros Tolón recalled, “the Government of Spain has invested, with aid from the Recovery Plan, almost two million euros in Campillo de Altobuey. To the works of the city council and the Casa de la Cultura we must add almost 400,000 euros for the improvement of the supply of drinking water and another 30,000 euros for the equipment of the Centre for Elderly People.”
What it means, said the delegate, “the important commitment of the Government of Spain to take advantage of the opportunity of European funds for municipalities with demographic challenge. We improve public facilities and services with criteria of energy efficiency, we contribute to sustainable development also from the rural world and we promote cooperation between administrations to improve the life of rural municipalities.”
Milagros Tolón has highlighted Campillo de Altobuey “as a municipality that is an example of management against depopulation and the use of renewable energies as an element that helps the sustainability of rural environments”.
Let us remember that under the Program to Promote the Rehabilitation of Public Buildings of Communities and Cities (PIREP Local) there are five other municipalities benefited in Cuenca: Abia de la Bispalía, Leganiel, Palomares del Campo, Valverde de Júcar and Villalba de la Sierra, with a total investment of 1.8 million euros.
