Almadén (Ciudad Real). The delegate of the Government in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón Jaime, and the Planning Director of the Project Management Office of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) of the State Secretariat of Justice, Paulino Rodríguez, visited the energy efficiency improvement works in the Courts of Almadén, which required an investment of 600,000 euros by the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, financed with European funds Next Generation through the PRTR.
Milagros Tolón explained that the intervention in the courts of Almadén has meant an improvement in energy efficiency as a result of acting in the thermal envelope of the building, both in the facades and in the bas-roofs, and in the carpentry. In addition, to optimize energy consumption, luminaires have been replaced, recharging points for electric vehicles and photovoltaic panels have been installed.
Currently, in Castilla La Mancha, action is being taken in 8 judicial offices which are being rehabilitated to improve their energy efficiency and always with funding from European funds.
These seats are the Courts of La Roda, Villarrobledo, Hellín, Almadén, Ciudad Real, Tarancón, Quintanar de la Orden, and the Provincial Court of Guadalajara, allocating a total budget for this Autonomous Community of more than € 10,500,000.
Qualitative jump
For the Government of Spain the European funds Next Generation are a priority and, specifically, for the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, led by Félix Bolaños, which is managing 410 million euros in the field of digitization of justice. Through numerous tractor projects, the modernization of the Civil Registry is being implemented; new services such as the Justice Folder; projects in cybersecurity, textualization and AI; or the digitalization of all judicial bodies and courtrooms so that they can carry out telematic procedures, a milestone that has already been achieved.
In this way, a qualitative leap is taking place in the Administration of Justice, moving to a more efficient, agile and closer public justice service. And, in this sense, the works to improve the energy efficiency of the facilities of the courts have a special relevance. In particular, a total of 59 million euros has been allocated to promote energy saving and efficiency, promote sustainable mobility and promote the use of renewable energy sources in the buildings and infrastructures of the Administration of Justice. Thus, 34 interventions will be financed in different judicial offices dependent on the ministry (that is, in those autonomous communities that do not have the transferred competences).
