Toledo.- The Delegation of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha has organized a series of events on the occasion of International Women's Day, which is commemorated on Friday, March 8. A day dedicated to the fight for equality, participation and empowerment of women in all areas of society. Events that will begin on Monday, 4 March and end on Wednesday, 13 March.

Monday, March 4
At 9.30 a.m., the government delegate in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, will display, on the façade of the government delegation, the banner of 8M. It will be accompanied by a civil guard, a national police, women from the María de Padilla Association and representatives of UGT and CCOO.
In the course of the morning Milagros Tolón and Jordi Martí, Secretary of State for Culture, will inaugurate the photographic exhibition “A Vision of Their Own”, at the Museo del Greco, in Toledo. It shows that it will be open to the public between March 5 and May 26, 2024.
Thursday, March 7
At 9.30 a.m., Milagros Tolón signs, with Amador Pastor, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, an agreement for the placement of Violeta Points in the Library of Castilla-La Mancha, in Toledo.
At 11 a.m., Milagros Tolón will visit the exhibition “Woman, nobility and power”, at the Historical Archive of the Nobility (Tavera Hospital), in Toledo. A look at great women in the history of Spain who, surpassing the traditional roles assigned to the female gender, exercised power, excelled in politics or had influence in the cultural life of their time.
At 18 hours, representation of “Las Sinsombrero”, of the IES Juanelo Turriano, in the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Toledo. Free access until complete capacity.
Friday, March 8
At 11.30 a.m., Milagros Tolón will participate in the institutional event on the occasion of the International Women’s Day which, organized by the Junta de Comunidad de Castilla-La Mancha, will be held in the municipal auditorium of Quintanar del Rey (Cuenca).
Wednesday, March 13
At 6 p.m., Milagros Tolón will present “AVA”, the short documentary awarded at the last Goya Awards contest and whose main theme is the sexual exploitation of women with intellectual disabilities. This event will be attended by its director, Mabel Lozano. During the event, “AVA” and “Biography of a Woman’s Body” will be screened, which was also awarded with a Goya in the same category in a previous edition and whose argument is the shooting murder of a trafficked woman. Act that will take place in the Museum of Santa Cruz, in Toledo, with free access until the capacity is completed.
