Toledo.- The Regional Commission for the Follow-up of the Special Plan for Employment in Depressed Rural Areas has ratified today, in a meeting held in the Delegation of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, the proposals of the respective Provincial Commissions, approving the hiring of 2,344 unemployed workers in the agricultural sector with a budget of 12,215,415.08 euros.
With the exception of Ciudad Real and Guadalajara, which have registered variations on the initial proposals, increasing hiring by three more workers in both provinces, the rest of the proposals have remained as approved in the respective provincial commissions.
In total, the number of municipalities that will have this Special Employment Plan for Depressed Rural Areas in Castilla-La Mancha amounts to 303 municipalities, who have presented 358 projects.
In this way, the breakdown by province after the approval of the proposals by the Regional Monitoring Commission would be as follows:
- Albacete. The number of contracted workers will be 617 to implement 90 projects in 70 municipalities with a budget of 3,225,515.58 euros.
- Ciudad Real. The number of contracted workers will be 983 to implement 99 projects in 97 municipalities with a budget of 5,119,609.32 euros.
- Cuenca. The number of contracted workers will be 330 to implement 68 projects in 46 municipalities with a budget of 1,725,154.20 euros.
- Guadalajara. The number of contracted workers will be 11 to implement 11 projects in 11 municipalities with a budget of 38,336.76 euros.
- Toledo. The number of contracted workers will be 403 to implement 90 projects in 79 municipalities with a budget of 38,336.76 euros.
The hiring of these people will serve to carry out the works and services of general and social interest proposed by the municipalities for a period of three months, and has as its main objective the access to employment of unemployed people in the agricultural sector.
In the Regional Commission, the possibility was raised that, unlike other previous campaigns, the current situation of drought favors the advance of the contracting by the municipalities.
The works and services planned by the municipalities, due to the advance of the calendar in the execution of this plan by the respective provincial commissions, may begin from May 20.
The investment planned by the Government of Spain, which is financing the PEERZD, through the SEPE, financing salary costs and social security contributions has grown by 5% compared to the year 2022.
The meeting was attended by the deputy delegate of the Government in Toledo, Carlos Ángel Devia, in addition to those responsible for the Work Area and the Agriculture Area of the Government Delegation, General Treasury of Social Security, SEPE, ASAJA, the unions CC.OO. and UGT, CECAM and FEMP.
