Cuenca.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Tierraseca, has praised the collaboration between institutions to maintain and improve public facilities in the service of citizen security. He has done so in Priego (Cuenca), where he has visited the rehabilitation works of the Civil Guard Post.
The action is being carried out by the public company SIEPSE and has a budget of 1.7 million euros, which are financed, for the most part, from the European Funds Next Generatión, but also with the contribution of the Provincial Council of Cuenca, to which the government delegate has thanked this economic effort.
"There are two aspects that we seek to take maximum care of from the Government of Spain in terms of security," said Tierraseca, mentioning the best staffing, "which in the province of Cuenca has increased by 5% in recent years," and the improvement of the facilities, which is "an environment worthy of work."
Tierraseca recalled that this action is not the only collaboration that the Government of Spain maintains with the provincial deputies since, thanks to an agreement, they also contribute with Interior in the maintenance of the headquarters of the Civil Guard and “that support they give us is fundamental for us and is very important for the civil guards to work in a more suitable environment and the service to the citizens is also of higher quality”. This, added the delegate, is "a very ambitious project" because it has that "plus of support" from the Provincial Council of Cuenca, whose president, Álvaro Martinez Chana, thanked the delegate for the effort.
This work that is going to be undertaken is work aimed at the energy improvement of the barracks, and consists of cladding of facades of the buildings, replacement of exterior carpentry houses, with new carpentry houses with thermal break and thermal aluminum blinds, with double glazing, installation of an aerothermal system, new radiators in offices and underfloor heating in residential buildings and improvement of the ventilation system.
In addition, renewable photovoltaic energy sources will be placed on the roofs of the four buildings.
In addition, the work contemplates the installation of efficient sanitary appliances and taps of low consumption, the review of the general water network and repair of downcomers, and the improvement of the electrical installation, as well as new pavements and flower-beds, repainting of the facilities, the repaving of the parking area and walks, the placement of new canopies and measures to guarantee accessibility.
The government delegate has also said that the forecast for the start of the works is for the third quarter of this year and will last 10 months, so “we trust that, by the end of next year, these facilities will be much more efficient and the work will be executed”.
