The government delegate in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, has celebrated the provisional concession of 1.6 million euros to Teknia Ampuero within the PERTE VEC III announced today by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, assuring that it is "great news" for the Cantabrian industry.
As he explained, this investment represents a "key support" so that the company can continue to grow and advance in the manufacture of components for the electric vehicle, something that, in his words, "puts Cantabria on the map of the mobility of the future" and opens the door to more employment and opportunities in the region.
Gómez de Diego highlighted that this type of aid demonstrates how European funds can contribute to the modernization of the business fabric, aligning with the Government’s objectives of sustainability and digitalization.
In addition, he pointed out that Cantabria has the potential to play an important role in the transformation of the automotive sector, so he has encouraged companies in the region to continue betting on innovation and sustainability so as not to be left behind in this new era of automotive.
