The Government Delegation in Cantabria has today held an information day aimed at professionals of rural tourism, in which half a hundred members of the Association of Rural Tourism have participated. During the event, Delegation staff explained the requirements and benefits of the Digital Kit program, an initiative that seeks to facilitate the digitization of small businesses, offering subsidies and specialized advice.
The delegate of the Government, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, recalled that this program, financed through the Recovery Plan, has as objectives "to modernize the Spanish productive fabric and favor its growth, and they start from a minimum subsidy of 3,000 euros". In this context, the delegate highlighted the importance of these funds for the digital transformation of rural sector companies and encouraged attendees to take advantage of the opportunities they offer, ensuring that “this is a good time to make the digital leap and improve the competitiveness of rural businesses”.
As far as the beneficiaries can do in their companies with the digital bonus, the options are varied. You can improve the website and its presence on the Internet, managing social networks and strengthening cybersecurity to ensure secure communications. It is also possible to extend customer management through business intelligence tools, offer services and tools through a virtual office, and implement electronic invoicing. In addition, companies can generate a Marketplace platform, an online shopping center that groups several stores, making it easier for consumers to access different products from the same website.
The day also included a presentation of the program “Administration near you”, an initiative that mobilizes a team of public employees of the Delegation to bring digital administration closer to rural areas. This team conducts face-to-face information sessions and offers personalized attention to citizens, facilitating the obtaining of the electronic certificate and access to the Cl@ve system, tools that allow multiple digital procedures. The aim is to reduce the digital divide and make public services accessible in rural areas of Cantabria.
In addition, members of the National Police have addressed the doubts of the assistants about the registration of travelers, a key requirement for tourist accommodation in terms of the identification of guests and compliance with security regulations.
Before the start of the day, the delegate of the Government, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Rural Tourism Association, headed by its president, Jesús Blanco. During this meeting, Gómez de Diego and Blanco spoke about the importance of collaboration between the Administration and the rural tourism sector, addressing current issues affecting the sector.
