The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, visited today the stands of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) and the National Police at the Job Fair that takes place in the Salón Bahía of the Palacio de Exhibitions and Congresses of Santander. This event is a joint initiative of the City of Santander and the University of Cantabria, designed to facilitate the meeting between professionals and companies in the sector.
During his visit to the SEPE stand, Gómez de Diego pointed out that this year, as a novelty, interested people will be able to know and evaluate their personal competencies for employment through a self-diagnostic questionnaire. “Companies are increasingly taking soft skills into account, so they are relevant to success in the workplace. These competencies include interpersonal, communicative, leadership and adaptability skills and allow people to distinguish themselves and add a unique value,” said the delegate.
In addition, the National Police is also present with a stand where it is promoted as an attractive professional outlet. Gómez de Diego, who on this visit was accompanied by the head of the National Police in Cantabria, Carmen Martínez Ruiz, explained that visitors can learn about the access requirements and the selection process through the staff of the Division and students currently in training at the National Police School, both from the Basic and Executive Scales. The latter are sharing their experiences with the attendees, highlighting the diversity of functions carried out by the National Police.
The SEPE and National Police stands will be open until 6 p.m. today, offering an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore various careers and job opportunities.
