The presence of the ‘River Miño’ in the maritime waters of Cantabria is framed in the coasts of mackerel and anchovy. The control services are provided jointly with fisheries inspectors of the Government of Spain, in order to comply with the different regulations in relation to quotas, authorized boats, permitted gear, etc.
In addition, the Civil Guards who serve on the ship perform security work on the ships that are fishing in the northern peninsular, attending to possible emergency situations that may occur.
