The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, wanted to pay tribute to the National Police with the discovery of a commemorative plaque that, on the occasion of the bicentenary of its creation, has been located at the entrance of the Superior Police Headquarters of Cantabria. During the event, the delegate was accompanied by the Superior Chief of Police of Cantabria, Carmen Martínez Ruiz; the regional head of Operations, Juan Félix Martínez Díaz-Capilla, and the head of the Provincial Brigade of Citizen Security, Carolina Chaves Marcuello, as well as other police officers.
Regarding this tribute, Eugenia Gómez de Diego did not want to miss the opportunity to reiterate the recognition of the work of the National Police in all these years “as guarantor of security, as well as respect for the rights and freedoms of the citizens of Cantabria” and highlighted how the Corps “has been adapting to the new challenges arising in our society, being able to give the best response.”
During her visit to the Higher Police Headquarters in Cantabria, the delegate has seen first-hand the work carried out in these facilities and appreciated the distribution and operation of the Brigades, as well as visiting the Documentation Office and the Office of Complaints and Attention to the Citizen, one of the main channels of communication between the citizens and the police institution.
The Regional Chief of Operations, the General Secretary of the Higher Police Headquarters of Cantabria, and the heads of the different Provincial Brigades of Information, Judicial Police, Aliens and Borders, and Scientific Police also attended this event.
