In statements to the media, the delegate of the Government highlighted the "important contribution" of the Government of Spain in the materialization of significant projects for the Autonomous Community and for Santander in the cultural field, as an engine of social and economic development.
“Recent projects such as the rehabilitation of the former headquarters of the Bank of Spain to house the Reina Sofía Associated Center, the new Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology (MUPAC), the Enaire Collection, the rehabilitation of the Menéndez Pelayo Library, or the renovation of the Santander Art Museum (MAS), are concrete examples of this commitment,” he said.

Thus, it has influenced the contribution of the Government of Spain in that “common objective” of turning Santander into “a national and international cultural reference point”.
