The government delegate in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones, inaugurated this Tuesday the XXX Civil Guard Seminar on Border Surveillance and Fight against Irregular Immigration.
Quiñones has opened this training session together with Brigadier General Juan Manuel Llendefezas Valladolid, head of the Fiscal and Border Headquarters, and Colonel José Ángel Astillero, head of the Coast and Border Service, as well as the Colonel of the Civil Guard of Cantabria, Antonio Orantos.
The Government delegate stressed the importance of the continuous training that is carried out in the State Security Forces and Corps to “adapt not only to the rapid evolution of new technologies but to the new social realities”.
He has also praised the fact that these seminars have a theoretical part, which is what takes place in the Government Delegation, as a practice that will be carried out both in Cantabria and in Vizcaya, by the 40 civil guards who participate in this Seminar.
Quiñones thanked the President of the High Court of Justice of Cantabria (TSJC), José Luis López del Moral, and the Senior Prosecutor, Pilar Jiménez, for their participation in this XXX Seminar of the Civil Guard on Border Surveillance and Fight against Irregular Immigration, who gave presentations and highlighted their “involvement and collaboration in the training activities of the State Security Forces and Bodies in the Autonomous Community.
The 40 civil guards participating in this Seminar are specialists in tax matters and will be formed to integrate the next contingents of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX).
