The Minimum Vital Income already reaches 15,486 households in Asturias where 35,141 people live. Since this “social conquest of the Government of Spain” was approved in May 2020, “it has been consolidated as a right to fight inequality and social exclusion”, according to the Government delegate in Asturias, Delia Losa, who has influenced the impact of this benefit to reduce child poverty, since 12,952 of the beneficiaries in Asturias are minors. Regarding the sex of the people to whom the Minimum Vital Income reaches, 19,977 are women and 15,162 are men. Since October 2022, a bus from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration has traveled throughout the country to resolve doubts for potential beneficiaries of the benefit and also to inform applicants about the status of their procedure. In the next few days you will be in Asturias:

So far, 3,267 people have been served on the bus. Two out of three are women, 71% approached to request information, 24% to resolve doubts and 3% to be accompanied in the processing. The 55% had already requested the IMV and wanted to know the status of the management of their file. Among those who had not applied for the benefit, 37% said they had not done so due to ignorance and 31% explained that they thought they did not meet the requirements.
