The Subdelegate of the Government in Zaragoza, Jorge Pastor, the Colonel Chief of the Command of the Civil Guard of Zaragoza, Luis Germán Avilés, the Chief Commissioner of the Provincial Brigade of Citizen Security, Félix Alberto Larripa and the Provincial Director of Education, María Jesús Cruz Gimeno, attended this week the inaugural talks on the prevention of bullying, which took place at the IES Ródanas de Épila and the IES Miguel Catalán de Zaragoza within the program of activities of the School Plan 2023-2024 for the improvement of the school security.
The deputy delegate stressed that these interventions by agents in the classrooms are “very positive” because they serve directly to advance issues such as equality, the prevention of computer crime and the improvement of coexistence among students. “To spread and prevent this type of conflict, the security forces and bodies of the State are tremendously useful, since they give advice and at the same time they are offered as a useful tool to the students in their daily lives and the centers themselves,” said Pastor, while highlighting the proximity with which the agents address the attendees.
The Master Plan is developed during the school year at the request of the educational centers. National Police and Civil Guard agents give talks to promote safety and prevention to students in the fifth and sixth grades of primary school, secondary school and vocational training. Applications this year are expected to exceed requests from other years, although the period is still open for schools to contact those responsible for the program so that agents can come and speak to students.
The last course in the province of Zaragoza was attended by a total of 60,391 students, 1,126 representatives of the parents’ associations, as well as 222 members of the teaching staff. The conference most in demand was the one related to school bullying. In the province of Huesca the Master Plan reached 11,098 attendees and in the province of Teruel the reach was 8,677 students.
For his part, the deputy delegate of the Government in the province of Teruel, José Ramón Morro, participated on Tuesday along with the commissioner of the National Police, Fernando Mencía, the lieutenant colonel of the Civil Guard, Silvia Gil, and the head of the UPE of Education in Teruel, Pablo de Jaime, in the talks on prevention of gender violence and promotion of equality in relations in the College of Sarrión and later on that of the risks of Internet and social networks in the Miguel Vallés College of Teruel.
