The deputy delegate of the Government in Teruel, José Ramón Morro, participated this week in a working meeting held at the headquarters of the region Bajo Aragón at the request of its president, Luis Peralta. Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Guard Silvia Gil and Lieutenant of the 2nd Company Javier Muro were present at the meeting. During the meeting, the security situation in that region was analyzed and especially from the recent burglaries in homes in localities of the area, as has been the case of Alcorisa.
During the working day, it has become clear that the province of Teruel is one of the safest in Spain based on crime data, which does not prevent the occasional occurrence of criminal episodes that convey a certain sense of subjective insecurity to the population.
That is why it has been valued the advisability of strengthening the operational presence in this area, reminding the population of the need to count on its citizen collaboration and to present complaints that the Civil Guard always attends to and collects, in order to have the most information about the criminal acts.
The meeting ended by assessing the importance of the public security service in the rural environment provided by the Civil Guard, especially in territories such as that of the province of Teruel with great extension, a significant rate of aging and dispersed population, and a large number of small municipalities that are served to the population in addition to humanitarian services.
