Spanish Space Agency
The Spanish Space Agency will unify all the space policies of our country and effectively coordinate all services and activities in the sector to guarantee the strategic action of the Government of Spain in the field of space.
It will have an initial budget of more than 700 million euros this year and will incorporate 75 people with a highly qualified profile and a recognized professional career.
In addition, the Agency will bring space closer to the citizens and, to this end, it will have an Office of Space and Society, dedicated to awakening the vocations of the youngest, especially women.
It will also be an interlocutor with the European Space Agency (ESA) and other space agencies, such as NASA, and will become a public-private partnership node, supporting the existing space sector and encouraging the creation of new companies in the aerospace sector.
The creation of this public entity is included in the new Science, Technology and Innovation Act, the National Security Strategy and the Strategic Project for Aerospace Recovery and Economic Transformation (PERTE).
