Granada will have 150 new homes for rent located in Calle Rosa Chacel, number 4, a promotion to which the Government of Spain allocates 2.7 million to face a total investment of 17.4 million – the rest is provided by the private developer – and which today begins its construction with the first stone act attended by the delegate of the Government of Spain in Andalusia, Pedro Fernández, who has highlighted “the commitment of the Executive to give a decent and adequate housing solution to the people of Granada” through the State Housing and Rehabilitation Plan, “with the construction in the capital of more than half a thousand homes”.
During the event, Fernández has detailed that this promotion is included in the actions contemplated within the State Plan for the period 2018-2021 in the capital of Granada, “which will involve the construction of 518 homes, 150 located on Calle Rosa Chacel and two other promotions on Calle María Amaya la Gazpacha, one with 122 homes and another with 234.
To all this the delegate has added the 14.3 million euros signed last month with the Junta de Andalucía for the construction of 293 homes for social rent in energy-sustainable buildings in ‘La Azulejera’. “We are facing another example of how policies based on dialogue and institutional collaboration, in short, thinking about people, bear fruit the solutions that citizens demand of us,” he added.
The actions contemplated in Andalusia by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) in the State Housing and Rehabilitation Plan for the period 2018-2021 exceed 250 million euros, which translates into the construction of 3,091 homes, in addition to 4,102 rehabilitated. For the framework 2022-2025, Andalusia has another 246.7 million euros that the Government has already transferred to the community.
To these amounts are added the 328 million that Andalusia has received within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, of which € 241.2M are for the rehabilitation and economic and social recovery in residential environments by 2022 and another € 86,850,000 in 2023 of the Program of construction of social rental homes in energy efficient buildings
