National Police, Civil Guard, Foral Police and Local Police of Huarte/Uharte have signed today, within the framework of the Local Security Commission, the Protocol of Collaboration for the Police Care of Women in Situations of Gender Violence in the municipality. This committee has been chaired by the mayor of the town, Alfredo Arruiz Sotés, and, in addition to the signatories of the protocol, has had the assistance of the councilor delegate of the Equality Commission, the councilor delegate of Citizen Security and the technique of Equality of the City of Huarte/Uharte, as well as the director of the Coordination Unit against Violence on Women of the Government Delegation and other representatives of Security Bodies and Forces.
This first step, together with the accession to the Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between the Security Forces and Bodies for the Protection of Victims of Domestic and Gender Violence, of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Province (FEMP) of 2006, and the request to the Government Delegation in Navarre to incorporate the Comprehensive Monitoring System in Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén) constitute the three necessary requirements established by the Secretariat of State for Security for the signing of the Agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and the City Council of Huarte/VioGte
The purpose of this process is to allow Local Police access to the VioGén System, which is a tool for coordination and up-to-date information between the different security bodies for the individualized monitoring and evaluation of victims of gender violence.
