The Government Delegation has reported on the establishment of a working group to promote a new model of transport aid for residents and non-residents, which will take place next Monday, March 5.
As explained by the institution headed by Sabrina Moh, the Comprehensive Socio-Economic Development Plan, approved in October 2022, includes, in its Axis 2, Measure 9, the constitution of this working group that is going to materialize in a few days.
The objective of the same is none other than to analyze the alternatives in the execution of the expenditure, generating greater benefits, through a balanced intervention of the market, to guarantee good connectivity at better prices, both for residents and non-residents, and that in no case implies a reduction of the aid that residents already receive.
Among the objectives of this working group is also to analyze the normative vehicle necessary for the implementation of the possible new model to ensure the connectivity of Melilla with a particularized approach given the special characteristics of the autonomous city, so that it can leave the general framework established for the rest of the extra-island territories.
It is a question of making more effective use of the available budget items, although the need for more items will be determined on the basis of the results of the working group.
