“The PP lied to the people of Melilla for 7 years, hiding behind a modified one, to stop a work when what was behind it was that they did not want to invest in Melilla on such an important issue as healthcare.”
The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, in an interview last night on Popular Television, referred to the University Hospital of Melilla, an infrastructure that, “would have been fundamental during the pandemic” but that due to the paralysis carried out by the Executive of the PP has been delayed for almost 7 years.
“The government that leads Pedro Sánchez has executed 3 modifications and the work continues to move forward,” he recalled, while stressing that, since the resumption of the work in 2018, there has been no paralysis despite the closure of the border due to the pandemic or the economic impact that the war in Ukraine has entailed. “We have solved it because we are faithfully committed to the project of the start-up of the University Hospital,” he stressed.
In the words of the Moh, the implementation of this hospital has been a clear objective even before the arrival of Pedro Sánchez to La Moncloa. “Since we were in opposition, one of our commitments was to implement the works of the University Hospital in less than six months if it reached the government. Something that we have fulfilled,” he said.
A commitment to this infrastructure, he added, that has been maintained during these 5 years of Sánchez’s government and that involves an investment of more than 100 million euros and that “will be cutting-edge”, so Moh has qualified it as “one of the great projects not only of city but also of country”.
Quality Jump
During the television interview, the Government Delegate explained that the infrastructure is practically finished so its implementation will be in the near future.
But, in addition, it has advanced that this hospital will have the necessary human resources, something that is contemplated and that Carolina Darias herself, in her capacity as Minister of Health, addressed during her visit to Melilla last December.
“It is a work of a very important magnitude, which is going to make a leap of quality to the health of Melilla,” stressed the head of the Government Delegation.
