Mitma signs two agreements to rehabilitate 53 homes in the municipalities of Inca and Sóller, in Illes Balears
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, through the General Directorate of Housing and Land, has signed agreements with the Government of the Balearic Islands and the municipalities of Sóller and Inca for the rehabilitation of 53 homes, all privately owned, in two residential environments located in both municipalities. Of the 1.1 million euros budgeted to carry out these actions, Mitma will contribute 666,433 euros from the NextGenerationEU funds, within the framework of the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan (PRTR).
The agreement with the City of Sóller includes the actions reflected in the residential environment of rehabilitation programmed “Sóller efficient”, which foresees reforms in 24 homes. Mitma’s contribution in this case is 365,021 euros.
For its part, the agreement with the City of Inca includes actions in the residential environment of rehabilitation program “Historic Center of Inca”, where works are planned in 29 homes. The Ministry contributes 301,412 euros to this project.
The Balearic Government will directly grant subsidies to both municipalities, due to the uniqueness of the financed activity and the confluence of reasons of social, economic and environmental interest.
Once the aid is received, the municipalities will publish calls for its concession to the owners of the homes in competitive competition, in the case of Sóller, and for simple competition in the case of Inca. The urban regeneration (Sóller) and rehabilitation office (Inca) actions will be executed by the respective local entities.
These agreements are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan’s Neighborhood Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program, which provides for the transfer of up to 2.97 billion euros to autonomous communities and cities in three annuities to finance this type of intervention in homes, residential buildings and neighborhoods.
