Each time an authority accepts a query, it acquires the responsibility to provide a response to the complete questionnaire received. It is therefore important, before accepting a consultation, to review the questions received, to confirm that we are an appropriate authority (if we are not, you can ‘forward’ – forward – to another authority or coordinator).
In spite of everything, it may happen that after having accepted a query we see that we cannot offer an answer. If we only lack information to answer any questions from the group received, what must be done is to split the consultation. IMI allows you to select a subset of questions and move them to another authority.
If we see that we are by no means an appropriate authority, we can refer the entire consultation to another authority. That referral can be made even when we have already accepted the consultation).
