The workers of the Delegation of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, headed by the delegate, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the subdelegate, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, have observed a minute of silence to condemn the last three murders for alleged gender violence that took place in Barcelona, Toledo and Seville.
The latest confirmed case is that of a 36-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her partner on Tuesday, December 9, in Barcelona. The victim was the mother of three children, two of them minors, and all residing outside Spain.
The victim of Toledo is a 39-year-old woman, allegedly murdered by her partner on December 3, 2025. There were no previous reports of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor and he had three minor children.
The victim of Seville is a 30-year-old woman, allegedly murdered by her partner on December 6, 2025. There were no previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor. The victim also had three minor children.
The government delegate has expressed “our full solidarity with those close to us, relatives and loved ones; and our most resolute condemnation of any male chauvinistic behavior and gender violence that bleeds us as a society and causes so much pain. May we be able among all administrations and society as a whole to confront this barbarity.”
