The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has attended the act of recognition of the merit of the agents of the Local Police of Mislata who have been in service for 25 years, in which she has given a recognition of the dedication of the National Police in the municipality.
Bernabé thanked the mayor of Mislata, Carlos Fernández Bielsa, for his commitment “with modern, egalitarian and effective security” and received recognition “with pride and deep gratitude to those who guarantee security”.
The Mislata National Police Station has 89 officers, 20 of whom are women. “This recognition is not for me, it is for them and for them,” said the delegate, who added that she accepts it “on behalf of the national police who have been up to the task in difficult times and in everyday life, also after the damage.”
The Government of Spain has invested 15.2 million euros in the recovery of Mislata after the flood. Pilar Bernabé highlighted a line “of more than 7.2 million euros for the reconstruction of municipal infrastructures and more than 2.4 million euros in direct aid to families, self-employed people and companies”.
“The word ‘public service’ takes on a full meaning when I walk into a police station. Behind each uniform there is a history of dedication, risk and humanity”, concluded the delegate, thanking again for the recognition received.
