The Government of Spain has today constituted the Interministerial Commission on Immigration with the celebration of the first session of analysis on the migratory phenomenon in Spain. The meeting, held in La Moncloa, was attended by the headlines of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albars; Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska; Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030, Pablo Bustinduy; Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz; and Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego. On behalf of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, on an official trip, the Second Vice President and Minister, Yolanda Díaz, attended the Secretary of State for Social Economy, Amparo Merino.
The Secretary of State for Territorial Policy, Arcadi España, and the Director General of the AGE in the Territory, Agustín Torres, who also serves as Secretary of the Interministerial Commission on Immigration, have also attended.
The Commission is chaired by the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, who today stressed that this body has been put into operation in fifteen days, “cutting to the maximum the 30-day period for its constitution.”
