We were asked for help after ‘Filomena’ and there was the Government of Spain to protect this magnificent Cathedral, in Toledo, a land that symbolizes a meeting point, understanding and coexistence between cultures, which brings a wonderful patrimonial value, beyond religion. A heritage that must be preserved and protected, with the will and participation of the Government of Spain”.

In addition, the Government is concerned about the state of the southern façade: “We are going to study, from the Ministries of Culture and Tourism, the collaboration in the repair of that façade, to preserve its splendor with maximum security.”
The minister thanked the mayor for her defense of the city’s heritage and the demands she makes for Toledo before the Government of Spain: “Around 9 million euros was quantified for everything destroyed by ‘Filomena’ and the budget to repair the damage and relocate the city as a center of international tourist attraction, an example of cooperation between the different administrations.”
