The joint participation of both representatives underlines the connection between reconstruction processes and contemporary urban policies. In this context, the Biennial is presented as a space for reflection on how architecture can contribute to tackling territorial, social and environmental challenges, especially in enclaves such as La Palma, which are undergoing processes of profound transformation.
Likewise, its institutional presence reinforces the strategic nature of the event, not only as a cultural exhibition, but as a meeting point to discuss the future of the territory.
The XVII Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism is convened by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda in collaboration with the Superior Council of the Spanish Schools of Architects (CSCAE) and the Arquia Foundation.
