In which he has attended the facilities of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) in La Palma, having the opportunity to know the evolution of CO2 emissions due to the eruption of the Tajogaite (Cumbre Vieja) in 2021, a key center for ensuring tranquility on the island.
Installed a network of 1,200 sensors to measure C02 levels inside homes in the coastal centers of Puerto Naos and La Bombilla for the return of families to their homes.
It is planned to install 600 more sensors until the end of the year for control in the second and third floors of the homes.
The Ministry reports on an investment that will exceed three million euros until 2026 (included), highlighting that “thanks to the monitoring of CO2 concentrations inside homes, the Cabildo de la Palma has been able to start the path towards the recovery of normality”.
