It is the fourth celebration of this event, the first edition of which was held in 2022 after the Democratic Memory Law established October 31 as a day of remembrance and tribute to all the victims of the military coup, the Spanish War and the Dictatorship.
During the event, 18 Declarations of Recognition and Reparation have been given to victims and collectives and poets such as Federico García Lorca have been honored; exiles such as María Luisa Ramos, deported in 1940 to the Mauthausen camp; soldiers such as Vicente Rojo; philologists such as María Juana Moliner; railway workers such as Antonio Menchén; pioneers of women’s sports such as Margot Moles; religious women such as the bishop of Almería, Diego José Paulino Advantage; artists and painters such as Maruja Marzuel and her brother.
The tribute was attended by the Second Vice President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz; the Third Vice President and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen; the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños; the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles; the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez; the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, and the Minister of Youth and Sira.
