At 3:00 p.m. this Friday, the Special Holy Week Traffic Operation starts. Until midnight on April 6, the DGT expects that it will reach 422,000 trips on the Asturian roads, 17 million movements throughout the country.
The Special Operation is divided into two phases, the first of which will be this first weekend, from 15:00 on Friday 27 to 00:00 on Sunday 29 March, days in which Traffic expects 4.3 million trips (116,000 in Asturias), and the second will be between Wednesday 1 and midnight on Monday 6 April.
On these holidays, many motorcyclists will take the opportunity to go out and ride their bikes. A perfect plan that should not be truncated by a sinister road. In the Holy Week last year, 27 people died nationwide in 26 traffic accidents (none of them in Asturias), of which 8 were motorcyclists, a figure that we hope will not be repeated on this occasion and that, thanks to respect for the rules, we can all enjoy a few days of rest without incident.
MEANS AND MEASURES
With the aim of covering this operation and making all displacements Traffic has established a series of traffic regulation, management and surveillance measures for which it has the maximum availability, both of its human resources (agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard, personnel of the eight Traffic Management Centers of the DGT and personnel in charge of the maintenance of equipment and the installation of measures on the road, in addition to the personnel of the emergency services), and of its technical means (fixed and mobile speed control radars, cameras to control the use of the mobile and the safety belt, in addition to the air resources available to the Agency that will fly every day of the operational traffic) to control the traffic to respect the rules.
Likewise, work on the roads will be paralysedthe holding of sporting events and other events involving the occupation of the roadway will be restricted and the movement of freight trucks in general and those transporting certain goods in certain sections, dates and times will be restricted.

THE FIRST BIG START OF THE YEAR WITH THE V-16 AND THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE 011 PHONE
In this campaign there are two important innovations. On the one hand, the obligation to carry the V-16 to pre-signal any incident that may occur on the road and the vehicle has to be stopped and, on the other, the new improvements incorporated into the information telephone of the state of the roads 011.
Since January 1, in case of suffering a road incident and having to stop the vehicle, it is mandatory to use the V-16 danger pre-signalling device in order to warn the other road users, not only physically through the light but, more importantly, virtually through the browsers of vehicles and mobile phones and the Variable Messaging Panels located on the roads to adopt the appropriate measures of prevention against the incidence that will be found on the road. Each day, on average, the DGT 3.0 platform receives the activation of some 2,700 incidents through the V-16.
With regard to 011, this phone has recently been improved with the aim of providing a better service to citizens, for which Artificial Intelligence has been implemented through the incorporation of advanced language processing capabilities (PLN) that allow the automatic transcription of interactions, the identification of relevant entities and the analysis of the user's emotional state, facilitating the evaluation and continuous improvement of the service.
